Laodicea ancient city located 10 km far away from Hierapolis was settled in the valley of Lycus river in the 3th century BC of Hellenistic period. İt was an important and strategic trade and cultural center for a long time both in the Greek and Roman period. Enjoy visiting magnificient ancient sites of Zeus Temple, baths, gymnasium, theatres and bouleuterian which is the modern-day senate house.
Kaklık Cave is 45 km far away from Hierapolis, Pamukkale and it is easy to reach in 30 minutes of short time. This magnificient natural wonder is over 2,5 million years old and was formed in the the Pliocene Period. İt contains travertine waters, stalagmites, stalactites and a large amount of sulphur. There are some rimstone pools and waterfalls inside the cave. The clear, colorless and sulfur-smelling water is believed to cure some skin diseases. Enjoy visiting this wonderful natural beauty.
